Wooden details

IMG_0861

I feel I need more and more wooden details into my home lately. Could it be because it feels like autumn already?! In the past I strongly believed that you should stick to only one type of wood when decorating a room, but right now I feel exactly the opposite. I like to mix different types, getting a sort of a visual layers… Layers and textures are the key elements of crafting any interior and it is even more important when it comes to a monochrome scheme.

I also think that “repetition” is very powerful, so instead of adding one single piece, double it or multiply it several times… You can display them all together, or place them all over your room. It will create a visual connection that keeps the whole space together.

Wish you all a wonderful day today!
