My love for windows

img_1331

I was always fascinated by windows. There is something about them that moves me… It doesn’t matter on what side of it you are, you always feel there is something more beyond that window… There is always a story behind it, from the past or from the future…

So I started to collect them… At first, there were photos I was taking every time I was seeing a beautiful window and I was saving them in a special folder. But couple of months ago I’ve discovered a window poster… What a brilliant idea, I was thinking… It made such a huge impression on me that I had to order it right away. It still has an impact on me every time I pass by it. And then I found another one… and another one… And since I am chasing them now, I am sure my collection will grow even more.

Does anyone else love windows as much as I do??

    1. Dear Anne,
Thank you for such a wonderful comment. Your words mean so much to me. I always try to generate some kind of emotion with my pictures and most of the time I chose calmness… and I am happy you’ve got that feeling while looking at them.
Hope the late summer days are still spoiling you, my dear friend!

  3. O, yes, my sweet Natalia – I do !!!! Years ago I collected windows- not photos of them – I mean real windows. Old windows from old houses which were torn down…I always asked myself what they might have seen…and who have looked through their glas…I have rebuild them to mirrors ….and build this wall ( that one you like so much 🙂 ) with them in the livingroom…
Love your new posters. They let us dream about what might be behind the windows …:-). Good night my dear friend ! Sleep tight! Hugs ?….and: I LOVE your lovely posts ?

    1. My lovely friend,
Maybe this is the reason I love your glass wall so much 🙂 haven’t thought about it before…
A window it’s never just a window, right? there is alway more… Hope I will find a few new ones in the future.
So far I love my collection very much.
Have a nice and cozy evening, lovely girl…sending you many many hugs!

  4. Hello there beautiful! One of our favorite things to do while walking around neighborhoods are taking special notice of the windows and doors. They stand out more than the actual structure of the house. In fact those two details seem to make up the integrity of the home or building.

I love your choice in posters and as I stare at them, my imagination wanders. What a wonderful provoking feeling, right?

    1. Hello gorgeous!
You are so right! Doors and windows always get my attention before the actual building! There is something about them… Always so many questions in front of the window…and even more questions when it is a photography… Hope I’ll meet you in Paris one day and we can go on a search for special windows 🙂
Enjoy your evening, my clever girl!

  5. I love this! There’s something mystical about what is beyond those windows.. and somehow it makes your room look deeper! Wonderful post and wonderful pictures, as always! 🙂

    1. Thank you Jo!!
That is one of the reason I love them… they give another dimension to the room and I love that. You should come visit soon, so you can see them for real 🙂
My search for beautiful windows continues and I hope I will find a few new ones to add to my collection.
A really nice evening to you and see you tomorrow!

      Natalia

  6. Hello Natalia,

I never thought about windows before, but you opened my eyes for them and it is really an exciting experience. Thank you for your always fantastic inspiration.

    Greetings from Germany, Alexandra

    1. Thank you so much Alexandra. Be careful with these windows, you might become addicted as me 🙂 I can’t wait to find the next one. It has to be special…
Hope your Friday was a good one and wish you a wonderful weekend!
      Hugs,
      Natalia

  7. Great post. I have too many windows in my house to find space for a picture of one but I love the idea. As a builder one of my favorite parts of construction was trimming the inside of windows. You are going to run out of wall space soon Natalia.

    1. Thank you Dan! A b&w photo of a beautiful window from Camden might be nice 🙂 Should I challenge you? I have lots of walls in my home, so there is still some space left for new prints 🙂
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

      Natalia
