Wood and more wood

It’s no secret by now that I have developed a passion for wooden things… You’ve seen lots of photos on my Instagram feed with wooden balls popping up here and there, or cutting boards that never seem to leave my table anymore and of course, my obsession for wooden spoons.

It doesn’t matter too much how you arrange them, how you combine them or style them, they always look so so good…

The beautiful cutting boards are from Twelve-dots and I’ve already written about them here and here. I always feel inspired by their honest beauty.

The exquisite black wooden spoon has been sent to me by my very generous friend Henry (hope you will never regret this!). The spoon is carved by the unbelievably talented Luke Hope from a Bog Oak which has been preserved in peat for thousands of years. The colour is the result of a natural reaction between the wood and the acidic mineral condition of the peat. How impressive is that? I still can’t believe I’ve got to own one of Luke’s masterpieces!

The most simple things can be truly extraordinary if we chose to look at them with our heart…

A beautiful evening to all of you and thank you for stopping by!
