Twins Wood Studio

Those of you who are following me for a while know already about my passion/obsession for wooden spoons… There is something about them… My passion started all of a sudden when someone asked me to eat something with a wooden spoon. Have you tried? I was born and lived my whole life in the city, used to plastic and metal spoons, so for me it was a unique experience I must say… and I was hooked. I fell in love with these simple beauties, especially as they can be both art and function at the same time. And for a styling addict as myself, wooden spoons are the perfect ingredient for adding texture, warmth and depth to any setting.

So before I knew it, I started to look for spoons everywhere… Of course it can take time to collect things that we really like and I must admit, I am quite picky when it comes to new pieces that should be part of my humble (but continuously growing!) collection.

Today I want to introduce you to my new additions… They come from TwinsWoodStudio and they have earned an honourable place in my collection. Carved to perfection, made with a loving attention to details from beautiful wood choices…

I always like to know a bit more about who stays behind the pieces I am deciding to welcome into my home, so of course I wanted to find out who is TwinsWoodStudio. This newly started brand is formed by two twins (no surprise here!) Alexander and Eugene from Russia. Their “real” job has nothing to do with wood or carving, as they are both having a sales job in an office environment. But the passion for wood was there since childhood, so they’ve decided to give it a try. For now its more like a hobby, but if you look at what comes out from their hands you can see it will soon develop into a beautiful business. Best of luck from me!

Wishing you a lovely Sunday afternoon with the hope that I’ve managed to start a little interest in your heart about these pretty little treasures…

  1. Hello! I’ve eaten with a wooden spoon and I love it, most especially with rice and Korean soups. I’m looking forward to seeing your fun collection grow.

Are you ueating with them often?

    1. Hey beautiful!
Its a different feeling, that’s for sure. I have to be honest and admit that some of them are so beautiful that I don’t dare to use for eating. I want them to last forever 🙂 Then I have some that I use, but only for dry food, like granola, coffee beans, grounded coffee, salt… and I have a few that I actually use for eating.
I have a bottle of walnut oil and I give them a nice treatment from time to time…
I think you should start collecting them too 🙂 They will look soooo good in your new kitchen!
A beautiful autumn to you Jeni!
      Hugs xx

    1. Hi Az! So nice to see a comment from you here!!!
I love photographing wooden spoons… they are so simple and so complex at the same time. I always feel inspired.
I am happy you liked my attempt on creating a nice setting for them 🙂
I can’t wait to see which ones you’ve picked! And I hope Jamie is more flexible now and you don’t have to hide them from him anymore:)
Sending you hugs and lots of love xx

    1. Thank you Kasia! I was also surprised how good the eggs turned out in the photos…
